Elizabeth Macdonald, the founder of Applied Wisdom Consulting and published author, provides coaching and training in business communication, business presentations, business writing and resumes. Elizabeth’s expertise in this area has been developed from 15 years’ experience teaching business and managerial communication to 6,000+ MBA students. With 12 years’ experience working for the Peace Corps as both a trainer and Education Specialist, she has worked and travelled extensively in China, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa, and has visited more than 50 countries. This international experience, combined with her Master’s degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, makes Elizabeth especially adept at helping her clients be successful in today’s global business environment.

As the former Director of Business Communication at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Elizabeth is exceptionally skilled at providing practical and effective tools, rubrics and strategies, including programs for companies such as Intel, Henkel, and American Express. Her direct, experiential approach resulted in such significant improvement that her classes became a core requirement of Thunderbird’s MBA programs, whose graduates have gone on to work for large multinationals and Fortune 500 companies.

In one-on-one coaching, Elizabeth is known for her strong insight and ability to help people better understand themselves personally and professionally – whether helping on developing a presentation or improving one’s resume.
